Here is a collection of tips and policies on presenting a concert at CNMAT, Hertz Hall, and on the road.
There are just a couple of things you need to meet in terms of public safety:
1). tape down any cable that crosses public pathways (including aisle stairs and in between row of seats)
2). at doors, run cable over the frame, not through the floor.
Assuming you are running the cable from the mixer (located somewhere center in the house), you have a couple choices on your cable route:
Please report any problems you experience with clear and complete information, including steps to reproduce, software and system information, and where possible, an isolated example patch and crash log. # Becoming a CNMAT user

# Using the reservation system
The CNMAT main room, middle studio and rear studio need to be reserved before they are used. Priority is always given to the reservation-holder.
Before you can use the reservation system, the following must be satisfied:
- You must be a member of the Keyholders group.
- You must be promoted to the "content creator" role by a website user administrator.
This collection documents the bulk of CNMAT infrastructure and related activities; topics include facilities, equipment, computer systems, network infrastructure, CNMAT groups, and general policies.
• There is a semi-anechoic chamber (aka isolation booth) in the basement of Morrison Hall (Room 11). The isolation chamber is ideal for close mic sampling and any recording that requires near total sound isolation.
AUDIO TRANSFER
Ridji in the middle studio is set up alongside a dubbing station to serve as a place for doing all kinds of file format transfer. The user "aaaa Bogus student test user" with password "bogus"; this user has been optimized and all transfer software tested for transfers)

Here are instructions for setting up microphones and recording from the rear studio to PEAK.
Links to Max-MSP-Jitter software packages recommended by the CNMAT community. These packages of objects and tools are in common use and well tested by CNMAT MMJ users.
Classes are available on the UC Berkeley campus that provide lab-based opportunities for basic and advanced hands-on studies related to interactive instrument building. Some classes require programming experience, but some do not.

It is possible to borrow equipment from CNMAT for performances or projects. You must first have [cnmat:node/3213| Keyholder Status] at CNMAT and you must be a member of the [cnmat:node/8883|Equipment Access Group] .
oscuinoSerial is a Max/MSP patch and Arduino sketch for two way communication using the Oscuino library over SLIP encoded Serial.

The max patches require the odot library for constructing and routing bundles which are included with the [cnmat:downloads|CNMAT Everything download].
