Composer/Performer Austin Oting Har will present a concert of electroacoustic works for voices, electronics, traditional, classical, and contemporary instruments. The evening will feature electroacoustic works from his 2024 Neuma Records release, two recent recordings from his Greek tragedy-inspired opera for which he wrote the music and libretto, and conclude with his live premiere of a new algorithmic composition involving live electronics and AI.

Austin Oting Har is a US-based composer, writer, and performer with a background in music technology and ancient philosophy. His work utilizes ancient concepts, languages, and instruments, digital sound design and creative coding, bridging traditional, experimental electronic, and contemporary classical music worlds. An Associate Artist of the Australian Music Centre, his music has been commissioned by Dark Mofo, Berlin Atonal, and MaerzMusik, and released on Possible Futures and Neuma Records. Awards include a Special Prize in the Ise-Shima International Composition Competition, the Carillon Society of Australia Composition Competition, the Create NSW Arts and Cultural Fund, and his work was recently included in the best of the first half of 2024 list in Avant Music News.
