# Hardware Setup:

- Components:
- Icosahedron
- Ethernet cable and female-to-female extender
- Word-clock sync cable and female-to-female extender/junction
- Firewire cable
- Rimas box
- Beamserver (mac mini)
- Power supply
- RangeArray sensor
- Pole mount

# Setup Proceedure

1. Connect Icosahedron to gigabit ethernet switch
2. Connect a Rimas Box to ethernet switch (100bt port)
3. Connect word-clock cable from Icosahedron to Rimas box "word-clock in"
4. Connect Compute Server to ethernet switch
5. Make sure power supply is OFF (back panel)
6. Make sure 24v power switch is OFF (front panel, leftmost switch)
7. Connect power to power supply, server, switch, rimas box
8. Connect firewire cable from server to your laptop
9. Turn on compute server
10. Connect to compute server with VNC (Chicken of the VNC or Apple Remote Desktop)
- Host: 10.0.0.1
- Display: 0
- Password: beamserver
11. Open Audio/Midi Preferences
12. Turn on power supply main (back)
13. Turn on power supply 24v (front, leftmost)
14. Verify icos+rbox aggregate device appears to system
15. Execute "cd Desktop && ./run_beamserver.sh" in Terminal
16. Launch control patch (basic-control.mxb) on client machine and connect

# Off Proceedure

1. Turn off 24v power supply (front panel, leftmost)
2. Turn off main power supply (back panel)
3. Disconnect/breakdown remainder of setup.
